Alright lets start the good things first.

Characters :

I love how you drew the facial expression on Aoi, you can tell hes very upset and angry. cant say much about Ryo's xD but this is a really amazing lookin piece of work! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/>

Other things:

The blood looks well done and I love the snow flakes The shading is really nice too <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/>

Alright, now there are only a few things that bother me a bit.

Your tree roots sort of...look like their floating, and so does Aoi. Add shadows to the ground, mind you they dont have to be hard shadows, but just enough to tell that he is standing on the ground. A little snow might help if it covered it a bit on the back of him and around his paws/the roots since it is blizzarding out, in animes they dont really do this because it would be hard to animate snow on their bodies. (atleast I think it would be) it doesnt have to be alot on aoi just because it looks like hes been moving. If its been snowing for a while, the trees would have alot on their branches and trunks and roots.

the roots should be more angled also. as if they are striking into the ground, to show they are holding themselves on to something.

As for the trees in the background, i would say to add more depth to them, like layers of trees as they go out, showing depth in the picture and just how big the forest around him is.

Now the last thing I would talk about is Aoi's neck.

the anatomy looks pretty good on his body, so I wont say much about that. However its mostly just the neck.

The head looks like was pasted on, to clear this up make it more fluffier and a bit more longer. The line that goes from the cheek puff part to the jaw could be erased out, to take away the effect of him having such a hard edge on his face (unless that is your style)

With dogs like beagles, mastiffs etc. It is noticeable their jawlines because their fur isnt very thick, however wolves have very little noticeable cut off points, though they do have jaw fluffs, it doesnt interrupt the fur from being fluffy. Eh its hard to explain.

Anyway, over all I really love the impact of this picture and xD Im a bit of an Aoi fan so...WOO!
